Dr. Ghazwan Abdulla Hasan is actively engaged in academic, educational, and research activities at both regional and international levels. Through his roles as a faculty member, trainer, researcher, and reviewer, he contributes to advancing modern spine surgery, particularly in minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques. His work focuses on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, innovation, and continuous medical education

Teaching & Faculty Contributions

Dr. Hasan plays a leading role in spine education across the MENA region and internationally. He serves as a regional faculty member in AO Spine (AOSpine) and actively participates in delivering structured educational programs, cadaveric workshops, and advanced surgical courses.

He is a recognized trainer and instructor in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery, collaborating with leading institutions such as Maxmore Spine and Endovision. Through these roles, he provides hands-on training to surgeons, focusing on advanced techniques including endoscopic decompression, interbody fusion, and revision spine surgery.

In addition, he contributes as an AOPEER faculty member, supporting global initiatives in spine education and research methodology. His commitment to mentorship is reflected in his continuous involvement in training residents and young surgeons, helping to build the next generation of spine specialists.

A notable recent study titled:
“Assessing the Effects of HbA1c Reduction on Alleviating Chronic Nonspecific Low Back Pain in Prediabetic Non-obese Patients”
demonstrated the significant impact of metabolic optimization on chronic back pain, reflecting his commitment to integrating lifestyle medicine into spine care.

Dr. Hasan is an active participant in the global spine community, serving as a faculty member, speaker, and organizer in numerous international conferences and scientific meetings.
